Krispy Kreme Challenge Raleigh North Carolina February 2006

What a day, I arrived in Raleigh on Friday evening, I went over and picked up my race packet for the next days race. The Krispy Kreme Challenge is a running race that benefits the North Carolina Children’s Hospital. The race consisted of running 2 miles, eating a dozen Krispy Kreme Donuts and then running another 2 miles. This must all be done in less then 1 hour. The first Male finisher won the race in just over 27 minutes. The first female crossed the finish line in just over 31 minutes. There were 5,500 runners or 66,000 donuts. As you can see from the pictures eating a dozen donuts is somewhat painful. Here is a short video of the event. Enjoy! Below are three poker hands I should have won and lost. The first two were within a few minutes of each other. $250.00 lost very quickly, I was an 80% favorite on all three hands that means I should of won 8 out of 10 times, instead I lost 100% of the time. The good news is over time I will win.
